Kingfisher Drive and surrounding areas |

Dear Local residents,
In the short time I have been your beat officer, I have received numerous reports of anti-social behaviour in the Princes Park area, more specifically, parents and children have been verbally abused and intimidated by a resident on Kingfisher Drive while walking to Kingfisher Primary school. The male is now known to me, and I have given strong words of advice to the individual, and I will monitor the situation going forward. If issues persist, please let me know, and I will deal with this robustly. Please can I ask that all parents are mindful of their surroundings and are considerate to the residents during their commute to school, and that residents are tolerant to the children who understandably excited and playful (sometimes noisy!) to be with their friends and going to school each morning. Thank you.
In addition, I have had many reports of inconsiderate driving, tailgating and speeding around North Dane Way, Princes Park Avenue, and outside the Kingfisher school. In fact, I believe there was even a minor collision outside the school, only yesterday. Please can I remind you that our children are the most precious and vulnerable members of our community, and we are all responsible for their safety. We all want them to get to school on time, and lots of us have other drop offs or jobs to get to, but not at the cost of our children. We’ve seen the adverts on telly, the slightest distraction or moment of red mist could be the difference to those children walking through the gates or not. Thank you for your consideration. Best,
James PC WILLARD | ||
